I give you a new commandment.
This new commandment was not about methods of evangelism.
I now issue a new commandment.
A new commandment I give unto you… That you love one another even as I have loved you.
And so I give you this new commandment.
Jesus said a new commandment I give them to you.
We have even learned a new commandment.
Just before the new commandment there are some enigmatic words.
Why does he call it a“new commandment”?
And now I give you a new commandment that you love one another as I have loved you.
Jesus said, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. a new commandment I give unto you.
Jesus said,"A new Commandment I give unto you, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.
So what was this new commandment?
Jesus--"a new commandment that I give unto you That you love one another." romans,"but we know that the law.
Perhaps this is why Jesus gave a new commandment concerning vows.
Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning.
All of them are expressions of the mandátum novum(Jn 13:34), the new commandment of charity given to us by Christ.
Beloved, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment, which ye have had from the beginning.
Today's Gospel- John Chapter 15- brings us back to the Last Supper,when we hear Jesus' new commandment.
And now I beseech thee, lady,not as though I wrote a new commandment to thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
(not a new commandment, but one which the readers have had from the beginning), it is most probable that this is the same commandment mentioned here in v. 6.

Love is the new commandment of Christ, who told his disciples that only as they obeyed this commandment would their mission be visible and believable.
The Catholic bishops, in the spirit of the guidelines of the Second Vatican Council, shall continue to cultivate good relations with members of all religions, especially those who confessthe name of Jesus, without ceasing to pray for the intention that Christ uttered at the Last Supper as a new commandment, to love one another as He loved us(cf. Jn 13:34) and strive for all to be one cf.

By giving us this new commandment, he asks us to love one another, not only and not so much with our love, but with his, which the Holy Spirit instills in our hearts if we invoke him with faith.
