And they say: are our gods better, or is he? They mention him not to thee save for disputation. Aye! they are a people contentious.
اور کہتے ہیں کیا ہمارے معبود بہتر ہیں یا وہ انہوں نے تم سے یہ نہ کہی مگر ناحق جھگڑے کو بلکہ وہ ہیں جھگڑالو لوگ

And say:'What are our gods better, or is he' They do not mention him to you except to dispute, truly, they are a contentious nation.
اور کہتے ہیں کیا ہمارے معبود بہتر ہیں یا وہ انہوں نے تم سے یہ نہ کہی مگر ناحق جھگڑے کو بلکہ وہ ہیں جھگڑالو لوگ

And they say,"Are our gods best, or he?" This they set forth to thee, only by way of disputation: yea, they are a contentious people.

اور کہتے ہیں: آیا ہمارے معبود بہتر ہیں یا وہ(عیسٰی علیہ السلام)، وہ آپ سے یہ بات محض جھگڑنے کے لئے کرتے ہیں، بلکہ وہ لوگ بڑے جھگڑالو ہیں

اور کہنے لگے کہ بھلا ہمارے معبود اچھے ہیں یا عیسیٰ؟ انہوں نے عیسیٰ کی جو مثال بیان کی ہے تو صرف جھگڑنے کو۔ حقیقت یہ ہے یہ لوگ ہیں ہی جھگڑالو

سو ہم نے فرمان کو تیری زبان میں اس لیےآسان کیا ہے کہ تو اس سے پرہیز گاروں کو خوشخبری سنا دے اور جھگڑنے والوں کو ڈرا دے
